I think the hardest part about remote for me have been those moments when all you want is to be surrounded by a team of people who care about the same things as you do. The big releases, the big problems, those moments when you want to cry or cheer and end the day together with a cup of coffee or tea or beer.

I don't generally care for offices, I find it natural to collaborate remotely, so the thing I miss the most is being there in the important, team breaking or team-making moments that are hard to live in, the moments where a Hangouts call feels like it's not good enough.

Right about now would be a great day for a team retreat, but it's not going to be happening for a while.
